Lectio Divina Introductory Workshop for Advent

This workshop introduces the method of Lectio Divina, to pray sacred scripture. Through reading, reflecting, responding and resting in the Word of God, one’s relationship with God is nourished and deepened. Scripture will be appropriate for the Advent season. Both individual and group experiences will be provided.
This program will be offered both in-person and online via Zoom. Information on how to access the program on Zoom will be sent to participants in advance.

Presenter Profiles
Frank Pendola
Frank Pendola is a commissioned presenter for Contemplative Outreach and serves the Contemplative Outreach of CT leadership team. He currently serves as music minister at local parishes in Rhode Island. Frank loves to lend his voice in chant or song as an aid to contemplative practice with friends from various denominations and spiritual traditions.
Nancy Stimac
Nancy Stimac is a Contemplative Outreach Lectio Divina Service Team member and a commissioned presenter of Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina. She is certified by the Archdiocese of Hartford’s Catholic Biblical School Lay Ministry program and is a teacher for the Catholic Biblical School. She serves the Catholic community of Windsor Locks by lectoring, facilitating prayer groups, conducting Bible studies, and serving on evangelization teams.
