The Columbarium at Holy Family
Rest in Perpetual Peace
At Holy Family, we aspire to be good stewards of the earth and the land of our beautiful campus. We continually use it for the benefit of others so that all may share in the serenity, beauty and peace with which God has blessed us. For 75 years, the prayers of the Passionists and our retreatants have indeed made our property Sacred Ground.
Now, in a tangible way, we are providing a new opportunity to share this peace and serenity. Beginning in 2026, we will be constructing a columbarium, with niches to inurn the cremated remains of loved ones. The Columbarium at Holy Family will be an expansion of the existing cemetery at Holy Family. Until now, the cemetery has been the perpetual resting place for many of our priests and brothers who have resided at Holy Family. Now this tranquil setting will be expanded to accommodate the columbarium structures (see site plan), open to the general public as a final resting place.
Passionist hospitality has always been at the core of who we are at Holy Family, and we see this as an extension of our hospitality. The Columbarium is for those of any faith who have an affinity for the life that is lived here, a reverence for the beauty of our grounds, and who are looking for a sacred resting place for their cremated remains or for those of their loved ones.
We are offering this opportunity to help support a continued Passionist presence through the purchase of a columbarium niche. To secure a niche now, or if you have any questions regarding The Columbarium at Holy Family, please contact Luke Giroux at (860) 760-9784 or lgiroux@holyfamilyretreat.org.
