One of Pope Francis’ greatest achievements in his papacy was his bold move toward ecological spirituality and responsibility, especially as articulated in his encyclical Laudato Si’. This retreat day honors the legacy of Pope Francis during the Season of Creation (September 1 – October 4) with a program focused on the theme of the Season of Creation for 2025: “Seeds of Peace and Hope.” Retreatants will connect with creation on the grounds of Holy Family through communal prayer, dialogue, ecological contemplation, and nature walks.
Offering: $75, includes lunch
Because this retreat will be held outdoors, a rain date is set for the following day. For those with limited mobility, nature walks can be replaced with stationary prayer experiences or experienced in wheelchairs on paved surfaces on the grounds (please call our registrar to request a wheelchair if you cannot bring one).
