Finding Freedom in Art-Making through Play
Saturday, April 3, 2027
10:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Kathy Parluski and Beth Malley
This workshop is an invitation to reconnect with the spirit of play. Let your visual voice roam free as you explore mixed-media art materials and discover the freedom of creating from within, releasing expectations, and letting go of the destination. Allow the brushstroke, the color, the mark of the crayon, or the rip of the collage paper to take you by feel. Creating moment by moment, without a plan or agenda, invites the innocence and wisdom of your spirit to emerge. Through guided meditation and ambient music, you’ll be gently welcomed into the quiet, creative wellspring within. No previous art experience is necessary – only a willingness to be curious, let go, and play. As you listen to the promptings of inner silence, your own visual language naturally unfolds.
