Jesuit Father James Martin will share thoughts on the state of the Church and the world from his vantage point as editor of America Magazine. Fr. Martin will reflect on his work at the recent Vatican Synod on Synodality and the hopeful aspects of our faith journey in a constantly changing world. This evening of reflection will begin with dinner and include a presentation and some time for discussion.

Fr. James Martin, S.J.
Fr. James Martin, S.J. is a Jesuit priest, author, and Editor-at-Large of America magazine. A former corporate finance executive, he was ordained in 1999 and is widely known for his bestselling books, including The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything and Building Bridges, and for his ministry of outreach to LGBTQ+ Catholics. He serves as a consultor to the Vatican’s Dicastery for Communication and was appointed by Pope Francis to the Synod on Synodality. He holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an M.A. in Philosophy from Loyola University Chicago, and both an M.Div. and Th.M. from Weston Jesuit School of Theology.
