6-week Series
Tuesdays, October 10 to November 14, 2023*
10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Sr. Maryann Cantlon

In this series, we will explore the symbolism and spirituality of many significant passages in John’s Gospel as well as the theology that underlies it, and we will see how it can be a source of strength and nourishment in our own lives of faith. The community to which this text was first addressed will become our friends, as will the characters John presents who bring about the revelation of the identity of Jesus. The depth of this Gospel writer’s theology is stunning yet, at the same time, extremely simple. It is a text “ever ancient, ever new.”

* Class dates: October 10 17, 24, 31 and November 7, 14

** For those interested in participating virtually, this course will simultaneously be offered online via the Zoom platform. Information on how to access the course will be provided to participants before the first class.
