The Christian Contemplative Path: Journeying Beyond True Self to No Self
CCE Contemplative Enrichment Day
Saturday, March 20, 2027
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (ET)
Fr. Michael K. Holleran
This day offers a transformative exploration of the Christian contemplative and mystical tradition, guiding participants through the classic stages of the spiritual path—Purgative, Illuminative, and Unitive—and culminating in the profound realization of “No Self,” where all constructs of self dissolve and only God’s Presence remains. Drawing on the wisdom of both classical and modern Christian mystics, including Bernadette Roberts and Fr. Thomas Keating, we will examine how this journey leads beyond union to the mystery of selfless presence. Participants will gain practical tools and spiritual insights to support their ongoing journey and how that might align with Contemplatives from other Spiritual traditions.
This program will be offered both in-person and online via Zoom. Information on how to access the program on Zoom will be sent to participants in advance.
This program will include morning and afternoon sessions of Centering Prayer.
Offering: $75, includes lunch
