The JustFaith Social Justice Ministry at Holy Family invites you to join us for a powerful evening featuring short, compelling films and a brief presentation by an immigration attorney, Dana Bucin.
Together we’ll explore the human stories and legal realities of immigration today - and consider how we are called to respond through faith, understanding and action.
Attorney Bucin will share insights on current immigration issues, legal rights and options, and how our communities can respond with faith and compassion.

About our Featured Speaker
Dana R. Bucin is a Holy Family retreatant and an immigration attorney representing businesses and individuals across a wide range of matters, including employment- and family-based visas, green cards, asylum, and naturalization. With a corporate legal background, she advises foreign investors and entrepreneurs on establishing or investing in U.S. businesses and securing visas such as E-2, L-1, H-1B, and EB-5.
Fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Romanian, Dana is frequently quoted by publications including Bloomberg/BusinessWeek and the Hartford Business Journal. She is an active member of her firm’s Inclusion and Diversity Council.
Dana also leads significant humanitarian efforts, representing refugees and immigrants in high-impact cases—from the 2017 travel ban response to supporting Afghan and Ukrainian evacuees—and founded the “Connecticut for Ukraine” Matching Program. She serves as the Honorary Consul of Romania for Connecticut and advocates for pro-immigrant policies at the state and federal levels.
