At the Table Together: Faith, Food, and Immigration

An Evening of Community, Conversation, and Justice

Thursday, October 30, 2025
6:00 p.m. ET

The JustFaith Social Justice Ministry of Holy Family invites you to an evening of shared fellowship, reflection, and commitment to justice. Together, we will share a meal and engage in meaningful conversation about the realities faced by immigrants within our local community and our faith’s call to stand in solidarity.

We are honored to welcome representatives from Hartford Deportation Defense and former Immigration Judge Ted Doolittle, who will offer their experiences and perspectives on immigration, advocacy, and accompaniment. Their insights will help us more deeply understand both the legal and human dimensions of immigration and inspire our faithful response as a community of welcome.

Grounded in the Gospel message of hospitality, this gathering invites us to listen with open hearts, learn from lived experience, and respond with compassion and action.

Please register in advance to help us plan the meal appropriately. A free-will offering will be collected to help offset the cost of the dinner. There will also be an opportunity to find out ways to be involved and support the ongoing work of Hartford Deportation Defense.

Walk-ins are also welcome.

This event is sponsored by the JustFaith Social Justice Ministry of Holy Family. For more information, please contact Andrea Melanson at 860-614-8280 or ammelanson@aol.com.
