HiJacked: The Truth about ISIS and Islam

Part 2 of 2-part series

October 11, 2017

6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.

Imam Sami A. Aziz

The second part of our fall series will explore the relationship between ISIS and mainstream Islam. Muslims consider ISIS to be a vile hijacking of Islam. Most of the victims of ISIS are Muslims, yet Muslims are often considered to be the perpetrators of murder and violence, causing much fear in the west. We will also examine Muslim scholars against ISIS and their anti-ISIS propaganda and will end with a brief exploration of Islamophobia and its effects upon the Muslim community.
