Contemplative Harp

Blessings, Prayers and Harmony

March 10, 2018

3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Marcie Swift, M. Ed., CMP

The harp has been used for centuries to diminish pain, stress and worry with its golden warmth and vibrations. Allow the tones of the harp to deepen your sense of presence, harmony, and balance. This 90-minute workshop will combine Marcie’s deeply therapeutic harp and meditations with poetry and prayer. Let the notes of the harp envelope you and learn some of the ancient Celtic blessings and prayers from the Highlands and islands of Scotland. Join Marcie Swift, psychologist and certified therapeutic musician of the harp, as she weaves stories, images, prayers and blessings between deeply healing therapeutic harp tones. Hear the cries of the seals on the craggy rocks, and feel the mist on your face as Marcie’s melodious notes and charming stories gently entice you. Participants are welcome to join the retreat community for daily Mass at 5:00 p.m.

Offering: $30.
