Lenten Bread Retreat: The Polish Tradition, Babka and Butter Lambs

Join us and learn how to make Babka, the traditional Polish Easter bread. We will also make Butter Lambs, another tradition that relies heavily on the symbolism of the Easter season. Maximum 12.
Offering: $75 (Includes lunch)
Beth Malley is co-curator of the Monastery Gallery of Art and a certified Zentangle teacher who enjoys helping others explore their artistic and creative gifts. She has taught Zentangle privately and at Copper Beech Institute, Grace Academy and Our Lady of Calvary Retreat Center. Her artworks have been displayed at the West Hartford Public Library, Golden Thread Gallery and Monastery Gallery of Art. She is a docent at the Wadsworth Atheneum and likes to knit and crochet.
Barbara Skomorowski is a marketing and communications professional with an interest in gardening, canning and bread baking. Her personal goal is to preserve each year’s harvest to be enjoyed in homemade meals throughout the upcoming year. Barbara’s food craft includes jam making, pickling, lacto-fermentation, and creating flavored vodkas and liqueurs.
